Price Performance Company Members Awarded 2009 Los Angeles Summer Intensive Scholarship

Price Performance Company members were
awarded 2009 Los Angeles Summer Intensive
and performance scholarships by International
Dance choreographer Adam Parson and
Price Performing Arts Center. 

Mr. George Lawrence (pictured on far left), was selected
for a performance scholarship to perform with the
Commonality Dance Company, directed by Adam Parson
(pictured on far right).

Janay Henry and Chelsey Willis (two females pictured), were
selected for Los Angeles summer intensive scholarships
where they will take a series of classes at the world renowned Edge
Performing Arts Center and Debbie Allen Dance Academy.


Dallas Black Dance Theater's Allyne Gartrell Awards Scholarships to PPAC Students

Mr. Allyne Gartrell awarde 3 members of the Price Performance Company scholarships to the Dallas Black
Dance Theater Summer Dance Intensive during the summer of 2009.  Mr. Gartrell is the Artistic Director of the Dallas Black Dance Theater II company in Dallas, TX.  Our Scholarship Recipients include Nakia Daniels, George Lawrence, and Chelsey Willis.  They will spend 2-3 weeks in Dallas taking a series of dance classes.  CONGRATULATIONS!!

PPAC Alum Selected for the Dallas Black Dance Theater II Company

Price Performing Arts Center is proud to announce Ms. Yasmine Lockett was recently selected as a member of the Dallas Black Dance Theater II company in Dallas, TX.  Yasmine danced at PPAC for 10 consecutive years until she graduated from High School and attended Brenau University, majoring in dance.  Yasmine was a very active member of the Price Performance Company, and added to the artistic development of the PPAC Baby and
Pre-School program as an instructor of ballet and tap.
